£360k for designers who improve quality of life for people with dementia

In a competition organised jointly by the Design Council and the Department of Health, a ‘moneypot’ of £360,000, plus unprecedented access to expert support and advice, is available to individuals or organisations with a good idea that will help people with dementia.

Selected teams will be given funding to develop their innovations into working prototypes and organisers will ensure there is a pipeline for successful ideas to be spread and sustained across the NHS and social care sector.

There will also be help to find investors willing to provide funding and expertise to take ideas from the design table to the marketplace. The closing date for entries is 30 September.
