Care UK sells residential services arm
Social care services provider Care UK has completed the sale of its Shropshire-based children’s residential services business to Keys Education and Care.
The sale comprises Care UK’s children’s residential care operations including 16 homes located in Bristol, the North West of England and the Shropshire/Welsh border area.
About 200 Care UK staff that are employed within the service will transfer with the business.
Care UK’s group marketing director, Martin Kirkup, said: “Care UK’s decision to sell its children’s residential services operations was made after carefully considering what would be the best ownership for the business in its next phase of growth. We would like to thank the staff who have worked tirelessly to help hundreds of young people and wish them successful careers with the new owners.”
Care UK runs almost 60 care homes and provides care at home for more than 16,000 people every week.
