New Carlisle care home would create fifty jobs

Multi-million pound plans have been lodged to build a 70-bed care home in Carlisle – bringing 50 jobs to the city.

The £5 million project would see The Inglewood pub at Pennine Way, Harraby, demolished and a major residential home and day centre built on the site of the bar and disused bowling green.

About 50 full-time and part-time jobs could be created and plans have been submitted to Carlisle City Council.
