Consultation: Inspection framework for Welsh social services

The Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) are seeking your views on what you think about their proposed inspection framework.

The implementation of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act and the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Bill means that the legislative and policy context for social services is changing.

There is a renewed emphasis on the role of inspectorates to ensure the safety and quality of care and support at a time of rapid cahnge and pressure on resources.

The CSSIW have put together a proposed framework for a programme of inspection for every Local Authority in Wales to check the quality and safety of their social services.
