This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Refugee Resettlement service as part of Housing Support Services.
You will develop and facilitate a wide range of health and wellbeing activities.
For this new post, you must have experience of developing, managing and facilitating a variety of participative social activities; as well as dealing with the public and working with local communities, vulnerable groups, including refugees, and a range of stakeholders and service providers.
It is essential that you have an awareness of relevant legislation and good practice relating to refugees and vulnerable groups equalities., effective organisational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, able to plan ahead and anticipate potential obstacles in advance and the ability to relate to people at all levels and a flexible approach to work.
You will manage a team of wellbeing officers and you will be expected to manage workloads and use your own initiative when making decisions.
You must have a flexible approach to working out with normal working hours.
An SVQ Level 3 Social Care, Health Care or equivalent is desirable. You must be willing to work towards obtaining this qualification.
Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups and building good relationships with them, report writing, First Aid certificate, record keeping experience, experience of Microsoft Office packages and full driving licence is also desirable.
