Registered Manager – Children's Home (EBD)

Located in the beautiful countryside of Hereford/Worcester, our client's children’s home is a stunning, purpose-built space that offers young people the tranquility and warmth of a family-style setting while prioritising their emotional well-being and personal growth.
We are looking for an experienced, empathetic Registered Manager to lead our clients team and guide the therapeutic support provided to the young people in our care.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of our children’s home, ensuring it remains a nurturing environment where each child feels safe and supported. You will lead a highly trained team and integrate our clients therapeutic, countryside-based approach, helping each young person develop life skills, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and organisational standards.
Develop and oversee individual care plans that focus on therapeutic, person-centered care for children with EBD.
Foster a warm, family-style environment that helps children build confidence and emotional resilience.
Support and develop a skilled team of care professionals, offering regular training, supervision, and therapeutic insights.
Collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, and families to provide holistic, integrated care.
Engage with the natural environment, utilising countryside-based therapies and activities to enhance emotional well-being.
Requirements:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior role within a children’s residential setting, ideally with a focus on EBD.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and best practices in therapeutic care.
Empathetic leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Passion for working with children and an understanding of therapeutic approaches in a residential setting.
